Each year we now produce an 'Annual Review' for Friends and Members, which incorporates a summary of our formal Year-end Report, plus what we hope are some interesting highlights of the year in question.

Members and Friends are sent these annual reviews as soon as they are produced each summer, and have an opportunity to attend our AGM each October and raise any issues.

Annual Car Stickers launched

This month our Friends and Members will be receiving new car windscreen stickers to show their support for Magog Down.

These smart new stickers are intended to help us when we survey the car park to tell how many of the estimated 60,000 visits per year are by those who regularly contribute towards the upkeep. They also of course serve as useful publicity for Magog Down when our supporters are out and about in their cars in the local area.

The stickers are made from "static self-cling vinyl", so they won't leave a sticky mark on windscreens - they will just cling of their own accord. The plan is now to distribute these each year to all our up to date subscribers, with Family subscribers getting two by default (unless they tell us otherwise), and Individuals/Concessions getting one each.

MEMBERS: did you respond in the Autumn about a car sticker?

For those Members for whom we do not have up to date email addresses, we sent you a postal AGM notice in September 2015; this included a slip of paper headed "IMPORTANT: Car Stickers for Magog Down" inviting you to confirm if you wished to receive a car sticker, and that we hold your correct address.

If we did not hear back from you about wanting a new-style car sticker, then you will not have been sent one in our January mailshot. Just get in touch if you now wish to rectify this.

All current Members and Friends for whom we do hold email addresses as well as valid postal addresses were sent a car sticker by default.

Old Newsletters

Up until 2011 we produced a twice-yearly Newsletter, and you can still download copies of some of these here:

In 2011 the re-designed website was launched, and so the decision was taken to stop producing these Newsletters, and instead to use this website as the main means of communication for news and articles of interest.

This move away from a regular Newsletter meant that more of the Members' and Friends' subscriptions could be spent directly on the costs of upkeep and husbandry on the Down.

We would love every regular visitor to Magog Down to help support its upkeep by becoming a Friend. Read more on our Join Us page, and then complete the application form.
