Unfortunately, one of our contractors’ vans suffered an engine fire around lunchtime today (5 August) which subsequently spread throughout the vehicle. Many thanks to the local fire crew who attended, put out the fire and prevented any further damage. No-one was injured and the fire did not spread to the nearby trees and hedgerow. Some resurfacing of the area may be needed but that will have to wait until the van is removed.
As you can see, the van and its contents were completely burnt out.
