Sawston Stomp, Thursday 10th October

Notice of Event: 1000 pupils to picnic on Magog Down!

As part of their Greener programme—encouraging a greater appreciation of our natural world, the value of sustainable living and the need to pursue a carbon neutral lifestyle– and Active Week—promoting the value of activity to the physical and mental wellbeing of all– Sawston Village College will be completing their annual “Sawston Stomp” on Thursday 10 October 2019.

This is a Sponsored Walk. Pupils will be walking from Sawston Village College across the fields in Stapleford and on to Magog Down. En route a mass litter pick will take place. Pupils will be arriving in their Houses – 250 pupils and 25 staff each – for lunch at the far end of the North Down.

Part of the money raised will be donated to the Magog Trust in support of this area and our mutual commitment to promoting the value of the natural world.

The Trustees of the Magog Trust are delighted to have given permission for this walk to take place.
